BitPay Adds Support for Fiat Purchase Thanks to Simplex

A bitcoin payment service provider BitPay has announced it has entered into a partnership with Simplex, a fiat payment aggregator.

Access more than 50 of the world's financial markets directly from your EXANTE account – including NASDAQ, London Stock Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange.

According to the official blog post, BitPay's clients can now purchase cryptocurrency directly with fiat in the BitPay App.

"With most exchanges, you’re waiting days for access to your cryptocurrency. With BitPay and Simplex, you’re only waiting hours instead of days for the process to go through," the official statement says.

BitPay CEO and Co-Founder Stephen Pair claims cryptocurrency exchanges can be "intimidating for new users."

"Whether converting fiat to crypto to make crypto payments, or converting crypto to fiat to pay with the BitPay card, the BitPay app is an all-in-one solution," he added.

Earlier iHodl reported that BitPay added support for the XRP token. BitPay Director of Product Sean Rolland said XRP can offer a "fast, cost-effective, and scalable" payment option.
