The U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced the expansion of its list of supported cryptocurrencies with a new asset called Cosmos (ATOM) starting from January 16.
From now on, the exchange's users can now buy, sell, convert, send, receive, or store ATOM. Coinbase says ATOM will be available for users "in all Coinbase-supported regions."
"Per the terms of our listing process, we anticipate supporting more assets that meet our standards over time," the exchange said in the official blog announcement.
The Cosmos project is a blockchain protocol that facilitates the transfer of data between existing blockchain networks.
Earlier iHodl reported that the popular U.S.-based crypto exchange was planning to disable the dApp browser functionality from the Coinbase Wallet in order to comply with App Store policy.
