PwC, one of the 4 largest auditing firms in the world, announced on January 5 in a press release it has hired the team behind Swiss smart contracts auditing startup ChainSecurity.

According to the announcement, the auditing giant has decided to add smart contracts auditing to its existing services.

ChainSecurity was founded back in 2017 as a spin-off of ETH Zurich, a research laboratory specializing in blockchain security. The company offers its clients a technical audit service for smart contracts to help them identify failures or problems in their projects.

Per the press release, the company has a wide experience, as it has worked with over 75 blockchain companies, crypto trading platforms and banks.

The partnership with PwC will allow the company to expand its services in Europe.

In September it was known the Swiss giant had started to accept crypto payments in its Luxembourg office, while in June iHodl reported the company had launched a crypto-focused auditing solution.
