Cryptocurrency exchange OKEx in its press release shared with iHodl reported that the exchange's Chief Operating Officer Andy Cheung has resigned from the company.

Cheung will reportedly focus on his own project — a new blockchain consultancy institute called BitWork.

Cheung claims his main goal is "to drive mass cryptocurrency adoption."

"But my contribution can be very limited in a cryptocurrency exchange. I decided, and we agreed amicably, that I can better achieve my goals with a new venture. Still, it’s been an absolute pleasure to have served OKEx," he added.

At the time of writing, it is unclear who will replace Cheung's position.

Earlier iHodl reported that OKEx Korea decided to delist all privacy-focused cryptocurrencies from its platform: Monero, Dash, Zcash, Horizen and Super Bitcoin.
