Chinese Internet giant Baidu has just launched the public beta of Xuperchain, its open blockchain network, the company announced yesterday through an official statement.
According to the company's official site, users interested in deploying blockchain apps on the project's network only have to pay 1 yuan (around $0.14).
The project's white paper explains Xuperchain network is managed by a series of masternodes and uses crypto's underlying tech to simplify smart contracts processing.
This new network allows its users, who can be developers or companies, among others, to create their own apps, templates for smart contracts as well as other related functions depending on their needs.
It should be noted Xuperchain network has been built on Baidu's previous blockchain-as-a-service. However, users interested in using it do not have to build a blockchain, as was the case with the previous service.
One of the project's features that makes it stand out is the fact that it is fully compliant with Chinese regulations.
