Ex-Barclays CTO to Launch His Crypto Digital Bank in 2020

A former Barclays CTO and Head of Technology for the Barclays Group Mark Hipperson is about to launch his own cryptocurrency-focused digital bank in 2020, FinTech Futures reports.

Ex-Deutsche Bank Executive Joins Crypto-focused Bank

The so-called Ziglu bank will allow customers to transfer funds between fiat money and cryptocurrencies. The bank wants to offer an exchange at interbank rates. The bank clients' will reportedly be able to spend crypto via a Mastercard debit card.

"With Ziglu you can hold multiple (traditional/foreign and digital) currencies in a single account. You can buy and sell foreign currency at interbank rates, and buy or sell crypto at the best price across multiple exchanges – guaranteed," the bank's official website states.

Previously iHodl reported that Turkish's Bank Takasbank launched a BiGA Digital Gold blockchain platform, which allows the transfer of gold from person to person without time constraints.
