The Android version of MetaMask, an Ethereum-based dApp browser, has been removed from Google's app store, app's developer has reported through Twitter.
It was removed from Google Play last week, according to MetaMask. The US giant has reportedly decided so in order to comply with its regulations, which explicitly forbid mining apps.
However, the app does not offer cryptocurrency mining.
MetaMask has appealed Google's decision, however, it has been rejected. The browser's developer says "it's unclear whether the reviewer doesn't understand the policy, or whether they are enforcing an unwritten policy."
This is not the only news related to the US giant. Yesterday it was reported that YouTube, which is owned by Google, is carrying out a campaign to remove crypto-related videos. However, the video streaming platform has said today this ban is a mistake since its policy has not suffered any change that might affect cryptocurrencies.
