Popular video streaming platform YouTube has censored a Q&A video from 2016 in which Vitalik Buterin talks about ETH roadmap.
According to YouTube, the video has been blocked because it contains "harmful and dangerous content." After the ban, Ethereum's founder has said:
"It is weird to censor a Q&A video that is three years old and states the crypto world does need alternatives to YouTube."
It must be noted that Buterin has also said he is interested in Voice, a social media based on EOS blockchain.
The crypto community does not understand YouTube's decision, and for that reason some prominent representatives, including Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, have suggested the whole community should move to a separate social media platform based on blockchain technology:
"Lots of challenges though, spam, scam, trolls, incentives, copyright, token economics, governance, stickiness, privacy... But It’s about time!"
Earlier this week iHodl reported the owners of several YouTube channels were complaining about the fact that some of their crypto-related videos were being banned.
