A hacker or group of hackers has managed to access the wallet of the blockchain project NULS and steal about 2 million tokens (around $480,000 at press time).
The developers of the project have reported out of those 2 million NULS tokens, more than 500,000 "have been transferred to the secondary market, so they cannot be traced."
The project has decided to implement a hard fork to minimize the damage of the attack. It will reportedly take place at block 87,800 and after its activation, the remaining 1,451,645 NULS tokens stolen by the hackers will be frozen. According to the developers:
It must be noted that the update is mandatory.
NULS is ranked 147th in CoinMarketCap's ranking and can be traded in Binance, OKEx and Huobi.
The aim of the NULS project is to popularize blockchain tech.
