A group of QuadrigaCX's creditors has submitted a letter to the Royal Candian Mounted Police to conduct an exhumation and post-mortem autopsy on the body of QuadrigaCX's CEO Gerald Cotton.
The purpose of the letter is to confirm both Cotton's identity and the cause of death.
Canada's largest cryptocurrency exchange QuadrigaCX abruptly closed in early 2019 after Cotton died unexpectedly in December 2018.
Since Cotton was the only person who had the private key to access the firm's digital wallets, around C$260 million went missing following his death.
Earlier iHodl reported that an unknown hacker compromised the VeChain Foundation buyback address and stole 1.1 billion VET (approximately $6,3 million USD).
