According to a press release, Binance has just teamed up with the p2p crypto trading platform Paxful to add the fiat currencies offered by the platform to its payment gateway.

From now on, Binance users will be able to use Paxful to buy bitcoin directly with 167 fiat currencies, including the Russian ruble, the Vietnamese dong, the Indonesian rupiah, the Nigerian naira, the Colombian peso, the pound sterling, the Mexican peso, the Canadian dollar, the euro and the Argentine peso.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has said:

"This marks a significant partnership between a crypto exchange and peer-to-peer platform where a new pool of users will have access to alternative fiat payment methods available on Paxful, including local currency bank transfers and some of the world’s most popular digital wallets."

According to the announcement, the association will provide access to cryptocurrencies to around 2 billion users who currently do not have access to traditional banking services.

It looks like the exchange is putting a lot of effort to expand its payment gateway. In fact, it has recently been reported it has just launched its payment gateway in Latin America.
