Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by number of users, has just announced the launch of Latamex, its new fiat gateway for Latin American users.

This new gateway will reportedly operate under the Binance Fiat Gateway and will allow users residing in this region to buy cryptocurrencies with fiat money thanks to the partnership of the exchange with Settle Network, a Latin American digital asset liquidation network.

This platform will initially be launched in Argentina and Brazil. As a result, users from these two countries will be able to acquire cryptos using their local currencies - the Argentine peso and the Brazilian real, respectively.

Users will be able to buy Bitcoin, Binance Coin, Ethereum and Binance USD.

However, Binance has reported it plans to expand the service to 13 other Latin American countries: Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Paraguay, Peru and Chile.

iHodl reported just a few days ago the crypto trading platform had just launched its futures on its iOS app.
