Popular US-based cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has just added support for the Swiss franc (CHF) thanks to a partnership with Liechtenstein-based Bank Frick, the trading platform has reported through a blog post.

According to the announcement, starting today, the following trading pairs are available to exchange users: CHF/bitcoin and CHF/ethereum.

CHF is not the first fiat currency compatible with the platform, as its users can buy and sell cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ethereum through 5 national currencies: Canadian dollars, euros, pounds sterling and Japanese yen. CHF has just become the new addition (6th) to the group.

iHodl recently reported the exchange had joined the Silvergate Exchange Network (SEN) developed by Silvergate Bank. Thanks to this new feature, Kraken clients can deposit and withdraw assets from the platform 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without paying any fee. Access to the new feature will be available to all verified Kraken Pro customers.
