The number of monthly active users of the Brave crypto-browser has passed the 10 million mark, the browser reported in its official statement.
Since the beginning of the year, the audience has doubled from 1.6 million active users up to 3.2 million.
Brave is an open-source browser designed with an emphasis on confidentiality and has built-in tools to block tracking code and malware. Blockchain is used to anonymously and securely track user attention, and attention is turned into revenue for publishers.
The Brave browser combines privacy with a blockchain-based digital advertising platform and offers 3-6x faster browsing than other browsers, claims the official statement.
Earlier iHodl reported that a Finnish p2p bitcoin trading platform LocalBitcoins is advising its users not to use free and open-source software for enabling anonymous communication called Tor.
