Huobi Joins Chinese-backed Blockchain Alliance

Chinese department of a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Huobi has become one of the first members of the Blockchain Services Network (BSN) alliance, organized by the State Information Center (SIC), Xinhua News Agency reports.

Besides Huobi, China UnionPay, a China-based payment system, supported by the government-owned telecommunications giants China Mobile, China Telecom, China Merchants Bank International and WeBank also joined the BSN alliance.

The alliance reportedly aims to provide infrastructure platforms in the field of blockchain services, which will allow uniting various networks, regions, and institutions.

Previously iHodl reported that Chiachih Wu, a researcher at blockchain security firm PeckShield, pointed out that some of the ether tokens that were yesterday stolen from the crypto exchange Upbit have been transferred to Huobi.
