American multinational technology conglomerate Cisco Technology, Inc. has filed a patent, which describes a communication network that receives session request data associated with a User Equipment (UE), which includes blockchain authentication data.

According to the application, a network function entity selects a Blockchain Authentication Function (BAF) entity based on the session request data, and exchanges "at least a portion of the blockchain authentication data with the BAF entity over a blockchain network interface."

Thus Cisco hopes various mobile devices will be able to use blockchain features in telecommunications networks like 5G networks in order to increase data transmission speed.

Earlier iHodl reported that the U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase filed a patent of a system that determines a compliance score for each one of the accounts based on the respective factors associated with the respective account.
