The Cardano Foundation, responsible for the 12th largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has just announced the launch of its payment gateway for merchants.

The AdaPay platform, which has been jointly developed by the Cardano Foundation and fintech startup Coti, allows merchants to receive almost instant payments in ADA that are automatically converted into 35 national currencies.

This new platform was first announced on October 23.

Merchants can now integrate it into their sites by adding an AdaPay button or a QR code.

The price of the cryptocurrency seems to have been positively affected by the news, since over the last 24 hours it has registered a 5% growth.

Earlier this month iHodl reported that Swiss broker Bitcoin Suisse and the European payment and transaction services provider Worldline had partnered to offer a payment gateway that would allow 65,000 Swiss retailers to accept BTC payments.
