French video game company Ubisoft Entertainment SA has signed a partnership with Ultra, a blockchain-related games distribution platform, GamesIndustry.biz reports.
Thus, Ubisoft has become the first top gaming company to bolster its UOS blockchain, as a corporate block producer.
Nicolas Pouard, Ubisoft's Blockchain Initiative Director claims the team at the Strategic Innovation Lab strongly believes that all blockchain use cases that bring value to players "are important to support, and Ultra offers a solution that does just that."
"During this first trial period of collaboration, we hope to help them in bringing it to a larger scale and experiment with the possibilities this opens up for the industry," Pouard added.
Earlier iHodl reported that three Chinese companies Yillion Bank, a fintech firm HDFH and a venture capital firm ZVCA opened a new blockchain fund with a target capital of $1 billion.
