A former executive of a blockchain software technology company ConsenSys, Kavita Gupta, has expressed a belief on the stage of TED that bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) will increase stability for the average person.
As Yahoo! Finance reports, most of the people during the talk were surprised by the many existing use cases of cryptocurrencies.
Gupta claims topics like blockchain and crypto haven't been seen by the majority on how it has already been used by the new generation in failed economies like Venezuela.
"Bitcoin won’t just be a way for the elite to diversify their investment portfolio, but a way for more people to create sustainable wealth," she added.
In the meantime, the former CEO and Co-Founder of the oldest Chinese crypto exchange BTCC, Bobby Lee, is confident that bitcoin will likely surpass $500,000 by 2028.
