In a recent hearing in the U.S. Senate Committee On Homeland Security And Governmental Affairs, the FBI Director Christopher A. Wray made it clear that cryptocurrencies are a significant problem that will only get bigger and bigger, Forbes reports.
The FBI Director claims cryptocurrencies' issue "is the subject of some kind of regulation."
"...it is part of a broader trend...in terms of the terrorist threat in terms of our adversaries of all shapes and sizes becoming more facile with technology, in particular various types of technology that anonymize their efforts," Wray added.
Earlier iHodl reported that according to the UN investigation, North Korea used a blockchain-focused shipping and logistics firm Marine China in Hong Kong to evade sanctions.
