A non-profit organization the IOTA Foundation has announced it will be collaborating with the Linux Foundation and Dell Technologies to establish the provenance of data coming from multiple different sources and deliver data to applications with measurable confidence.

According to the official press release, the Project Alvarium platform will be seeded by code from Dell Technologies and other industry leaders including.

"As the amount of data available continues to surge, trust in data is on the decline. Trust in data has decreased as transparency on its origin, collection process and storage has also decreased," notes the press release.

Project Alvarium will reportedly foster a community to work together on the baseline open-source framework and related APIs that bind together the various ingredients that constitute trust fabrics.

Earlier iHodl reported that the IOTA Foundation entered into a partnership with the Linux Foundation to establish an open, interoperable framework for edge computing independent of hardware, silicon, cloud, or operating system.
