The developer of privacy-focused crypto Zcash announced last week during the Devcon conference held in Osaka, Japan, that the project wants to develop a token to gain access to ethereum’s DeFi ecosystem, CoinDesk reports.
The conference, which has brought together blockchain developers from all over the world, was focused on interoperability - the possibility of interconnecting different blockchains in order to offer a large number of new features and reduce the current speed and scalability problems.
The launch of this wrapped token in the ethereum blockchain would allow users to enjoy Zcash's privacy features in ETH blockchain. Therefore, users could hide information about participants in a contract, among other things.
It has recently been known crypto exchanges Upbit and OKEx have halted Zcash trading.
