Coinbase is continuing its expansion all over the world by obtaining a new e-money license from the Central Bank of Ireland.
As official announcement reports, the license by the Central Bank of Ireland will enable the exchange to go further with its Irish operation "and deliver a better product to customers across some of our fastest-growing markets."
The e-money license will also allow it to secure passporting for its clients from the EU and EEA.
Martin Shanahan, CEO, IDA Ireland says Coinbase’s choice of Dublin for this operation reinforces the strength of Ireland as a destination for financial services companies, "providing a consistent, certain, pro-enterprise policy environment for businesses to grow and thrive."
