Since the Libra project is facing protests from the watchdog side Ripple Labs CEO doesn't believe Facebook will be able to launch its stablecoin "for at least three years — if ever."
"I would bet that Libra...let's say, by the end of 2022, I think Libra will not have launched," Garlinghouse said.
Ripple CEO thinks that Libra would have been better received if Facebook "had not been the point of the arrow."
"Facebook has been in the crosshairs of a bunch of governments around the world," Ripple CEO highlighted.
Earlier iHodl reported that PayPal officially left the group that supports Facebook's Libra project due to the uncertainty of regulation issues.

However, the Head of the social network Mark Zuckerberg said that the launch of its stablecoin Libra will not take place until it meets all regulatory requirements and is completely safe.
