American company operating a worldwide online payments system PayPal is officially withdrawing from the group that supports Facebook's Libra project.
The company has “made the decision to forgo further participation” in the group backing the libra cryptocurrency, a PayPal spokesman told The Wall Street Journal.
Previously iHodl reported that PayPal was reconsidering its support for Facebook's stablecoin.
Moreover, earlier Visa, Mastercard and Stripe, which in the past have shown their willingness to support Facebook's crypto project, are also not so sure whether they should provide the crypto-project with the official support.
