The Libra Association, the institution responsible for the development of Facebook's stablecoin, has just published its roadmap.

In the document, the association establishes 4 milestones to be achieved before the official launch of Libra's mainnet.

The first of these objectives is to have 5 partners deploying full nodes in the network. The following milestones imply an increase in the number of partners deploying their own nodes:

  1. 5 partners deploying full nodes in the network.
  2. 25 partners deploying full nodes in the network.
  3. 75 partners deploying full nodes in the network.
  4. 100 partners deploying full nodes in the network.

According to the association, the number of nodes managed by different partners helps them determine the progress of the project and how close it is to its completion.

In preparation for the launch, the Libra Association has created a test environment called pre-mainnet, which allows a number of selected partners to deploy their nodes and communicate to check the stability of the network.

iHodl reported yesterday that several online payment companies, including Visa and Mastercard, are hesitating to officially support Libra.
