Russian news outlet Kommersant has reported about several fraudulent ads on Facebook offering investors the possibility to obtain gains by investing in Telegram Open Network (TON).

Specifically, one of these ads includes links to a website that features a video about a "unique scheme" of earnings and an online form to register on the TON platform. However, it is obvious that it is a scam, as TON has not even been officially launched yet.

At the same time, scammers are using a photo of Pavel Durov, the creator of Telegram, to make victims believe they are investing in a reliable scheme.

Users are asked to enter personal data, including their e-mail address and telephone number.

Unfortunately for users, this type of scams are not only present in Facebook, but also in a lot of Telegram groups.

The official release of Telegram's TON network is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
