One of Norway's largest retailers Narvesen stores and Lietuvos Spauda kiosks are starting to sell physical bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) vouchers that can be exchanged into bitcoins in Lithuania, iHodl Russia reports.
Raimundas Asauskas, the spokesman for Rebiton, the startup behind bitcoin vouchers, says the sale is aimed at simplifying the possibility to buy bitcoins, "even for those who have never done that."
"Despite the still existing rather high level of speculation involving this virtual currency, it's obvious now that it will be an indispensable part of both the global financial system and online trade," Asauskas added.
It also has been reported that purchase will not require any ID or any other documents to exchange the amount of euros in the Rebiton voucher into bitcoins.
Back in 2018 iHodl reported that cryptocurrency miners were moving to Norway and Sweden to take advantage of cheap hydro-electric energy and low temperatures to power and cool their servers.
