The Japanese instant messaging service has just launched Bitmax, its crypto trading platform.
LVC Corporation, the company's blockchain division, officially launched its new crypto trading platform yesterday after receiving approval from regulators in early September to operate as a crypto exchange.
According to the official announcement, LINE's new platform will allow its users to trade the following cryptocurrencies: bitcoin, ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.
The users of the messaging service (81 million), can already make deposits and withdrawals through Line Pay, the company's mobile payment service. However, the will have to use Line Wallet for trading.
One of the main features of this new crypto exchange is that it allows its users to make small transactions of only 1,000 yens ($9).
