The number of bitcoin wallet addresses containing at least 10 bitcoins or more (around $100,000) has reached an all-time high.
According to BitInfoCharts' Bitcoin Rich List, there are currently 157,210 addresses worth between 10 and 1,000,000 bitcoins.
Based on these statistics, these addresses (140,940 in total) contain as much as $46.1B in bitcoins, while only 4 addresses have between 100,000 and 1 million bitcoins.
It must be noted that the top 4 addresses belong to centralized crypto exchanges, which means the funds actually belong to tens of thousands of individuals, not just 4 whales.
In April Ihodl reported that the number of active bitcoin wallets had increased significantly right before the bitcoin rally.
