According to the latest statistics, the number of search queries for the term "bitcoin" in Google's search engine has registered a 4-month low, which means that users are now less interested in the cryptocurrency than in April.
However, most surprisingly is the fact that the popularity of the cryptocurrency has plummeted if we consider that bitcoin's price is much higher now ($10,200) than it was then ($4,100).
If we take into account the history of bitcoin, media attention usually fluctuates along with the crypto's volatility.
On a normalized scale from 1 to 100, the term "bitcoin" currently ranks 38th worldwide, after briefly reaching 100th in late June, when the BTC/USD pair peaked at $13,800.
