Cryptocurrency payment provider BitPay in continuing strict regulations over its network. This time, the provider has banned donations that were sent from donors to the Hong Kong Free Press news media.
According to the founder of the Hong Kong Free Press, Tom Grundy, all of the crypto donations are temporarily suspended as BitPay has refused to transfer donations for 3 weeks "without good reason."

In the response, a BitPay representative said that BitPay's team is working to fix that data validation requirement issue (SWIFT vs. IBAN) for GBP in Hong Kong.

Moreover, the crypto payment provider suspended its operations in Germany as it still has some doubts on whether it should obtain a license to operate in Germany or not.
