The U.S.-based popular well-known cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has enabled its clients to donate digital assets to the Dorian hurricane victims in the Bahamas.
According to Yahoo! Finance, donations are being accepted through Bahamas-based nonprofit charity-focused organization Lend a Hand Bahamas.
The cryptocurrency donations will reportedly go to both adult and youth initiatives for anyone relocating to Nassau from either the Abaco or Grand Bahama islands.
"Some of the funds will also be used for educational programs designed to assist evacuees in returning to their lives once the storm has cleared," states Yahoo! Finance.
Earlier iHodl reported that Coinbase Custody, a service that offers clients access to the secure, institutional-grade offline storage solution acquired Xapo’s institutional businesses.
