Cryptocurrency exchange OKCoin has announced the “Let’s Build Bitcoin Together!” initiative that focuses on donation up to 1,000 BTC to the bitcoin blockchain developers.
According to the official press release that was shared with iHodl, donations will go towards organizations and/or developers for the advancement of their associated cryptocurrency projects. The donation recipients are Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Satoshi’s Vision developers.
OKCoin’s mission is reportedly to make digital assets "accessible to the world and to achieve its mission, OKCoin has been focusing on ecosystem growth."
Tim Byun, OKCoin CEO says as one of the first exchanges, the exchange has been invested in the development of the ecosystem.
"There is no question that the past few years have been a roller coaster for the whole community, so we’ve decided to step up and give back to the developers who keep moving us forward," he added.
Earlier iHodl reported that OKCoin entered into a partnership with Simplex to open debit card deposit feature for its users.
