Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has hired former Morgan Stanley executive as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
According to the official announcement, Noah Perlman had been working at Morgan Stanley for 13 years. In addition to that Perlman worked at the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) New York Division and an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the Eastern District of New York.
"We started building Gemini in 2014, but waited to operate until we received our New York trust company license in October of 2015 from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS)," said Tyler Winklevoss, Co-Founder & CEO at Gemini.
Previously, iHodl reported that the U.S.-based crypto exchange founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Gemini Trust Company, LLC, opened its doors for Australia.
