Manny Pacquiao, a popular boxer and senator from the Philippines, has just launched Pac, his own cryptocurrency.

The boxer's token will allow his fans to buy merchandising and interact with him through social media, Reuters reported yesterday.

The boxer, who won the WBA Wetterweight World Championship in July, will list his crypto on the Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX) in Singapore.

Investors in the project include Pacquiao, former British soccer player Michael Owen and Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed al-Nahyan, a member of Abu Dhabi's ruling family.

Owen, Jason Derulo and tennis player Caroline Wozniacki are plan to list their tokens on GCOX.

In November last year U.S. boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and music producer DJ Khaled were accused by the SEC of failing to report that they were being paid to promote various ICOs. However, in May it was known that the charges had been dismissed.

The first news about Pacquiao's intention to launch his own cryptocurrency were shared in April last year.
