Binance's CEO Changpeng Zhao has just announced through his official Twitter account that the crypto exchange plans to launch bitcoin futures trading in September.

Binance's CEO made this statement during a questions session held today.

The crypto trading platform already announced last month its plans to release a bitcoin futures trading service that would initially support the BTC/USDT pair and a 20x leverage.

CZ has also noted the exchange is currently working on the expansion of its crypto asset staking capabilities. For example, the platform has recently implemented staking for some cryptocurrencies such as Algorand, Stratis, Qtum and Stellar.

Binance intends to add support for more assets as well as a greater leverage in the future. Jin Chao, director of strategic development at Binance, has recently said that the crypto trading platform is working to offer its clients the possibility of trading with a leverage greater than x5 but less than x100.
