The U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Gemini Trust Company, LLC, has opened its doors for Australia.

From now, Australians can download the Gemini Mobile App for both iOS and Android devices and use it to buy, sell, and store cryptos such as bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), bitcoin cash (BCH), ether (ETH), zcash (ZEC), and litecoin (LTC).

However, at press time, Gemini does not support its own stablecoin called Gemini Dollar (GUSD) in Australia.

The Co-founder and CEO at Gemini, Tyler Winklevoss, claims crypto is the future of money, and the exchange is committed "to building a bridge to that future in Australia."

"We are thrilled to continue expanding our global footprint and give Aussies a safe and trustworthy cryptocurrency experience," he added.

Previously iHodl reported that Gemini passed a security compliance audit carried out by Deloitte.
