Cryptocurrency wallet BitGo has announced it hired Pete Najarian, a former Senior Vice President of Institutions at Xapo to serve as Chief Revenue Officer.
According to the official press release, Najarian has over 20 years of experience of international finance with institutional investors. Previously, Najarian worked at Royal Bank of Scotland as Global Head of Emerging Markets Sales and held various positions at UBS.
At BitGo, Najarian will be responsible for "driving the company’s global sales strategy and execution, and will report to CEO Mike Belshe."
"Pete has a deep understanding of capital markets and an exceptional breadth of experience in financial services. This makes him a perfect partner for institutional investors who are entering the cryptocurrency market," said the Head of BetGo, Mike Belshe.
Previously Coinbase Custody, a service that offers clients access to the secure, institutional-grade offline storage solution, acquired Xapo’s institutional businesses.
Earlier, iHodl reported that a blockchain-based secure identity ecosystem Civic in partnership with BitGo presented a privacy-focused digital wallet.
