Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse in an interview with Yahoo! Finance said the company is right now in active discussions on multiple potential investments and acquisitions.

Previously iHodl reported that money transfer system MoneyGram started to use Ripple's xRapid tech to make cross-border payments.

Garlinghouse added the company is in a very strong position, its business is growing strongly and they have "a strong balance sheet."

"Anything we can do to accelerate our growth and give us more capabilities that serve customer needs is a good place to be," he added.

However, Ripple CEO declined to give further details on the upcoming partnerships.

Earlier Bank of America, one of the largest banks in the U.S., created a payment system based on Ripple's distributed ledger technology interbank communications.
