Blockstream, a Canadian company focused on the development of products related to bitcoin and blockchain, has just announced the launch of two mining facilities and a pool.

The mining facilities are located in Quebec (Canada) and Georgia (USA) and have a capacity of 300 megawatts.

These centers have been built in order to meet the needs of corporate customers as well as to carry out the company's own mining operations. Two of the company's most prominent clients are investment firm Fidelity and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.

The company plants to offer its services to individual miners in the future.

According to Forbes, Blockstream's mining centers generate 6 exahashes, which amount for 7% of this week's daily bitcoin hash rate.

In addition to these two mining facilities, the company has launched Blockstream Pool, the world's first mining pool that uses the BetterHash protocol.

Blockstream has recently attracted 90 million dollars from investors such as Khosla Ventures, AXA Venture Partners and Reid Hoffman.
