Kraken, a popular U.S.-based trading platform, has just announced a new service that will allow its users from all over the world (up to 180 countries) to make deposits in U.S. dollars, euros, Canadian dollars, pounds sterling and Japanese yen, the exchange has reported through its official blog.

The users interested in using this service must have an account in Etana Custody Wallet, the service that has made possible this new functionality.

The possibility of making deposits in these new 5 currencies will not be available to all users, only the intermediate and pro users of the platform will be able to enjoy this feature.

Etana Custody's wallets will be directly linked to the users' bank accounts and will allow funds to be transferred within 1-5 days. However, transfers between the users' wallets and their Kraken accounts are immediate.

The service also allows its users to convert currencies, meaning they will be able to make transfers to their Etana's wallets in almost any currency and then convert it to one of the 5 currencies accepted by Kraken.
