The U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in an interview with CNBC said that U.S. regulators are likely to reveal new crypto regulation in the near future.
Mnuchin also said the U.S. officials are going to make sure they have a unified approach regarding crypto regulation.
"We’re going to make sure we have a unified approach and my guess is that there are going to be more regulations that come out from all these agencies," Treasury Secretary said.
Previously iHodl reported that U.S. lawmakers are working on a bill aimed at preventing big tech companies like Facebook from issuing their own cryptocurrencies.
The activity of the U.S. officials on crypto regulation began speeding up after the President of the U.S. Donald Trump said on Twitter that he is not a big fan of bitcoin "and other cryptocurrencies."
