SK Telecom, LG U Plus, KT, Samsung Electronics, KEB Hana Bank, Woori Bank, and Koscom have signed a joint venture agreement on a blockchain-based mobile electronic certification service at the Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on December 12.

According to the official press release, the companies have reached the goal of opening the era of "all-national mobile electronic certification".

It's expected that the mobile e-certification service will be a big step forward in the way that it can manage and control the identity information and data of the individual by oneself.

Earlier iHodl reported that South Korean multinational electronics company Samsung rolled out its own blockchain SDK called Samsung Blockchain SDK to easily manage blockchain accounts.
