John McAfee, developer of the popular antivirus McAfee and crypto enthusiast, has posted a message on his official Twitter account reconfirming his prediction that the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization will jump to $1M by 2020:
Bitcoin is at the mid 10's and people worry. LMFAO!! Why do you pay attention to weekly fluctuations? Look at the past few months FFS! It's rising drastically. I'm still positive about my $1 mil BTC price by the end of 2020. Alt coins like MTC and Apollo will rise ten times more.

At press time, BTC has lost a 5.1% of its value and is currently trading at $10,173.09. It is true that the price of the cryptocurrency has been fluctuating significantly in recent months and that it has dropped from almost $14,000 to $10,000 in just a few weeks.
However, we must not forget that bitcoin was trading well below that level in 2018, right after reaching as much as $20,000 back in December 2017. Therefore, the main crypto was trading below $10,000 during 2018 and only broke above that mark in recent weeks.
McAfee has always shown a positive attitude towards BTC even when its price was very far from the current levels. Some think his prediction is too optimistic, however, who knows? He might be right!
Anthony Pompliano, another crypto enthusiast and co-founder of Morgan Creek Digital Assets, recently predicted bitcoin would hit $100,000 by the end of 2021.
