Rating agency Weiss Ratings has assigned bitcoin (EXANTE: BTC.EXANTE) a rating of "A-" for the first time in its history, ForkLog.Media reported yesterday citing a company letter.
The firm's experts have highlighted that the potential benefits of investing in the cryptocurrency outweigh the risks, that its technology has been updated and that the network is stable:
"That’s a long way from the C+ we gave it in January of 2018. Back then, our ratings model told us that the risk of investing in Bitcoin was off the charts."
The company's experts reported that a month ago they recommended investors investing in bitcoin moderately, however, the situation has improved since then.
However, Weiss Ratings added that investors should be especially cautious with price corrections and think it twice before making any decision.
In addition, Weiss Ratings's experts have assigned ethereum and EOS a rating of "B+" and "B", respectively. Last month, the agency's experts downgraded EOS' rating due to "severe problems" related to the centralization of the project.
