The State Duma of the Russian Federation may postpone crypto-related bill "On Digital Financial Assets" (DFA) until the autumn session, reports Russian media agency TASS citing Anatoly Aksakov the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Market.

Aksakov told TASS the situation with the DFA is unknown since there is no common ground regarding the fate of the crypto in Russia.

"The law on the DFA should solve whether we will prohibit cryptocurrencies as a medium of exchange in Russian legislation," he added.

Earlier Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at Plenary Session during the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum said that regulation of cryptocurrency is no longer relevant since "the popularity of crypto has decreased."
