The Instituto Río Branco, Brazil's diplomatic training academy, has begun to require candidates to know about cryptocurrencies and blockchain, Cointelegraph Brazil reported yesterday.
The institution, which was founded in 1945 and is dedicated to offering advanced courses for diplomats, has included in its latest selection notice for new diplomats the requirement that they must possess knowledge about cryptocurrencies as well as their underlying technology.
All diplomatic candidates must pass a two-phase test. They will reportedly have to demonstrate knowledge of these two disciplines in both phases.
The institute plans to conduct two courses on the subject, which will focus mainly on how blockchain works and will provide a very clear definition of what cryptos are as well as of their main features.
It seems that the Instituto Río Branco has 20 vacancies available and, according to the institute, successful candidates will have access to a salary of about $5,045.
