Ripple's investment initiative called "Xpring" has issued a report according to which, the initiative committed $500 million in support of over 20 companies, ranging from independent developer projects to larger scale partnerships.

The initiative is focused on two main areas: build the crypto infrastructure and help innovative blockchain startups grow through partnership and investment.

"Our goal at Xpring is to make it easy for developers to build projects that create real use cases for XRP. The Xpring team is building a robust developer platform by offering resources such as tools, libraries and services for developers on the XRP Ledger and Interledger protocols," notes the announcement.

Previously iHodl reported that a former Head of XRP Institutional Liquidity at Ripple, Catherine Coley, joined Binance.US as CEO. Since joining Ripple in 2017, Coley played a key role in the evolution of trading infrastructure and market development, dedicated to improving global access to digital assets.
