Cryptocurrency exchange Binance will suspend tether (USDT) deposits & withdrawals for approximately 30 minutes starting at 2019/07/04 08:00 AM (UTC).

According to the official announcement, the exchange will change USDT deposit & withdrawal addresses from OMNI-based to ERC20-based addresses and will be the default setting going forward.

Binance highlights, after the update, users will no longer be able to withdraw OMNI-based USDT. However, OMNI-based USDT can still be deposited to users’ previous OMNI USDT deposit addresses and will be accepted.

Earlier iHodl reported Binance plans to launch its own futures platform in the coming months.
